Batter The Fall by Robin Wyatt Dunn

batter the fall
man the otter
announce the day
in falsetto accent
now plummeting away:

all the dreams of Los Angeles
lost in a fire

magnificent

the beggars and homeless warm themselves by the inferno,
sharing the finest vodka,

and the city knows it’s beaten
over the inversion layer,
all the angels are leaving
