salt on the sidewalk
without ice and snow
I remember the Chicago summer
Mahler in the park
Descartes Café
coffee in cups
dead philosophers on the wall
like the audio-visual reflections of us
salt on the sidewalk
without ice and snow
gathering blowing dirt
on a cold day
