Void Beneath the Skin by Mike Zone

“let there be light!”
a silent thought
in darkest solitude among strangers
nearly losing my mind- I saw a coffee cup
that reminded me of you
red light laser eyeballs ignite
remembering insulin bloated belly
a pile of ash recreated through
silicon circuitry design
oh, let me harness-  the void beneath the skin
electromagnetic flashback sequences- flash-forwarding
future tense  probability
can you be the mother and lover
of millions of others?
friend or enemy to all and none?
chrome finished titanium bones
what hair do we make
but raven black?
wondering aloud
“what giveth rise to life?”
mind apart from programming
deep into inner-space- depths are not hollow
between flesh, muscle, bone- wild pinball being
merchandized models and purchasing fiends
an angels harp – digitally dreaming till we have faces
weaving myth’s splendor
the fault in human stars- a defense of lost causes
the times they are an ending
