The Song of Life by Anoucheka Gangabissoon

If life was a song, which one would it be
A romantic, sad tune
An opera
Or a rock
Would it be a pop
Or would it be a lamenting classical tune?

Pray, if life was a song, then
Being a music lover
Then, I would have fallen in deep with its singer
And its composer!

Like all songs have beginnings and ends
So does life
Like all songs bid us to dance to their beats
So does life
Like all songs propel from us emotions and outbursts
So does life
Like all songs immerse us in their highest states
So does life
Like all songs have choruses
So does life

Why, it seems that life is a song
Come, let me learn to read its notes
So that I may play it as it should
Let me learn to accord my tunes
With that of the other players
So that we may all play the song of life
As it should!
