Room 226 poem by Andrew Taylor

York tap empties
      with assistance
siren speed cycle

Sunday morning
      ‘would you like
a wake up call

or a newspaper?’

Grey eggshell
      vintage window
repaired view

Blackout removed
      veil of net
curl of breath

Slow news day
      political fallout
three hour turnaround

the rooms will have traces
