It Could Have Been Such by Anoucheka Gangabissoon

What if birds stopped flying
What if seas receded
What if the world turned clockwise
What if the skies were no more blue
What if the sun shined no more
What if humans had no humanity
What if the Gods were evil
What if humans were preys
What if the world was a scary place?

It could have been as such
But then, the higher powers of mystery
Have showed us mercy
Yes, we rule the world
We have abilities
We can choose
Let’s all learn to enjoy this heaven that we live in
Let’s all learn to glorify it
And protect it
So that instead of wilting
It blooms
Into a garden
Where living is fairer than that which we know!
