New Kids on the Block by Robert Beveridge

They seemed like quite
the professional couple
when they moved in
across the street
he was gone
from eight to six
and she shopped
twice a week

then the rumors began
like oil over Alaska
new neighbor is a domme
works when her husband
isn’t home, will give you
what you deserve

one morning I dropped by
with a homemade coffee cake

she liked it so much
she gave me an hour free
of charge

but I’m not interested
enough to go back
yet
