Waiting on Death by Jennifer Lagier

Camille has no intention
of going out with a whimper.
She’ll burn her candle
at both ends,
create maximum uproar.

She imagines gleefully
working her way
down a bucket list
of rude, crude and lewd,
breaking rules with abandon.

Signs up for a nudist weekend,
erotic belly dancing lessons,
an afternoon of sky diving,
restyles her hair to include
lavender highlights.

She sips signature pinot noir
at her favorite bistro, trolls
for an adventuresome playmate
who appreciates, shares
her outrageous intentions.
