Moonlight by Bruce Mundhenke

That silent, quiet, silver light
Breaks up the darkness of the night.
The softness of its mellow glow
Can never pierce the shadows
It created with reflected light.
It seems to cast a spell on earth,
And plays tricks on our eyes,
The magic of its soft, still light
Reflecting into night.
