The Rap Game by Michael Marrotti

Copywriting infringement
Charlatans on demand
Money, drugs
bitches and murder
Lil or young
has been done
numerous times before
But it’s better than
using something
banal like Gotti
as a moniker
It’s time for a new genre
How many different
assholes talking
about the same thing
must one audience stand
This is boring
and capitalistic
Sampling tracks
is thievery
Anything for a buck
Cliche slaves
of the system
You’ll make a new song
about killing me
over this content
Another 187
Put down the gin an juice
Angry white tee shirts
Pants down
to their ankles
The dumbing down
of generations
You wanna do
bodily harm
You’ll never find me
Ranch is for morons
Smoking blunts
and ordering pizza
I’ll be hiding
in the library
Reading is fundamental
The rap game is
a breeding ground
for illiteracy
Anyone can talk
That’s all rapping is
Heed my advice
like it’ll protect
your time serving
A keypad isn’t
a musical instrument
Learn how to play
the real thing
Rap is fucking senile
It’s time for a new genre
